Ari is a striking young woman, standing at five-foot-five with a softly athletic build that she carries with effortless confidence. Her shoulder-length green hair, streaked with magenta, frames a sharp, expressive face set with deep purple eyes, casually scanning the room for things of note.
She favors a bold, Urban Flash look: a sheer cropped jacket, with digital displays on the sleeve cuffs, draped over a flowing, low-cut sleeveless dark blue wrap top, paired with a high-slit deep purple skirt that reveals stockings with a blue shimmer and shin-high reinforced boots built for both style and survival. Along the back of her head, a glowing lattice of segmented tech branches into her hair like a skeletal halo, subtly shifting as she moves. A living QR-code sigil glows on her exposed hip, its design slowly evolving, while thin lines of soft light trace across her collarbones like delicate stitching, pulsing faintly. Background
Arietta Gage grew up in a megabuilding. It doesn't really matter which, since they're basically the same, but it was a typical time. Her parents worked for a corp, she never really cared which, or even if they worked for the same one, because she was a typical child, more focused on her own life and her school experience. She was fine in school, but she was more focused on maintaining her reputation and spending time with her friends. Her closest friends were Sera Kade, part of a nomad pack that had people staying on the outskirts of the city to give their kids some time to get an education, and Natsuki Arai, who lived in Japantown and knew plenty of places the trio could hideout, play games online, or watch some braindances together. Had nothing exceptional happened, Ari would have grown up, gotten a corp job, and had a typical life.
But one evening, Ari came home late one evening and found that the megabuilding she called home was sealed off, not allowing her in. The corpos that had sealed it off weren't very talkative, but when people were finally allowed in, there were quite a few reported dead or missing, with little fanfare. Among those were her parents, leaving her suddenly on her own. She tried to get through school, but between fencing her parents' stuff and trying to make enough money to cover rent, she missed a fair bit. When her boyfriend left her for someone else, claiming he wasn't getting enough attention, and people started to talk, she stopped attending and focused on surviving. Once she'd sold most of the notable and large things in the apartment, she packed up everything that was left and cut one more expense. She'd spend some time around Sera's family, who were nice enough to her, but she didn't really fit in, and some time in the various hideaways Natsuki knew around Japantown, still managing to make time to spend with her friends while getting to know who in the city needed things and was willing to overpay, and who she could convince to give her a deal in buying those things.
Over time, she built her style, got some implants from a couple docs that Natsuki recommended, and started to establish a reputation for being able to acquire things for people who were willing to pay. Some of her biggest customers are still Sera's pack, who appreciate having someone get things for them from around Night City, and Natsuki, who eventually found a reasonably solid position among the Tyger Claws and knows she can rely on Ari's talents to move goods, both for prearranged sales and finding customers who want what they can give.
Known Associations
- Tyger Claws : Not a member, per se, but she's grown up around them, knows enough of them, and is useful enough that many of the members are used to her being around.
