Tyger Claws
TYGER CLAWS
WESTBROOK CRIME SYNDICATE
The Tyger Claws are one of Night City's largest and most deeply entrenched criminal organizations. Centered in Japantown, they control clubs, gambling, protection rackets, illicit braindance, sex work, smuggling, street commerce, and large sections of the neighborhood economy. Their polished neon image, motorcycles, luminous tattoos, blades, and Japanese street culture conceal a disciplined organization capable of extreme violence.

TYGER CLAWS
The Tyger Claws dominate much of Japantown and maintain influence throughout Westbrook. Unlike gangs built primarily around street warfare, the Claws operate as a sprawling criminal syndicate embedded inside legitimate and semi-legitimate businesses.
Bars, restaurants, pachinko parlors, gambling halls, braindance clubs, massage parlors, dollhouses, warehouses, garages, and entertainment venues can all sit somewhere inside their orbit. A business does not necessarily need to carry Tyger Claws colors to pay Tyger Claws money.
Their organization mixes Japanese cultural imagery with Night City street fashion, corporate technology, ritualized hierarchy, and an aggressive motorcycle culture. Claws are frequently identified by luminous tattoos, tailored streetwear, blades, smart weapons, tuned vehicles, and the confidence of people accustomed to operating on home ground.
Their long relationship with Arasaka remains one of the defining realities surrounding the gang. The relationship is neither simple ownership nor open corporate command. It is a useful arrangement between organizations whose interests frequently overlap.
PEOPLE
TERRITORY
The heart of Tyger Claws power is Japantown, where the organization is woven into both the criminal economy and ordinary neighborhood commerce.
JAPANTOWN
The Claws' primary territory. Nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, gambling, sex work, braindance, street markets, garages, and protection rackets all contribute to an environment where the distinction between legitimate business and organized crime is often deliberately unclear.
WESTBROOK
Beyond Japantown, Tyger Claws interests extend through portions of Westbrook, particularly wherever nightlife, entertainment, property, gambling, transport, or high-value illicit commerce provides leverage.
OPERATIONS
NIGHTLIFE
Clubs, bars, gambling establishments, dollhouses, private entertainment rooms, braindance venues, and after-hours businesses provide both revenue and social control.
PROTECTION
Businesses operating inside Tyger Claws territory may pay for protection whether they requested protection or not. Enforcement ranges from intimidation and property damage to abduction and murder.
VICE
Gambling, narcotics, braindance, sex work, illegal clubs, and black-market entertainment remain major components of the gang's economy.
SMUGGLING
Weapons, cyberware, drugs, data, people, vehicles, and other restricted commodities move through Claws-controlled businesses and transport networks.
CORPORATE WORK
The Claws' historic relationship with Arasaka gives both organizations access to something the other finds useful. Street violence, deniable enforcement, information, equipment, favors, and selective protection can move in either direction.
STYLE & VEHICLES
The Tyger Claws cultivate one of the most recognizable visual identities in Night City. Their style combines Japanese street fashion, motorcycle culture, luminous body modification, tailored gang colors, traditional iconography, blades, and high-end urban technology.
VISUAL IDENTITY
Luminous tattoos, bold facial modification, embroidered jackets, reinforced streetwear, bright accent colors, Japanese imagery, masks, stylized demons, tigers, dragons, blades, chrome, and visible cyberware are common visual markers.
MOTORCYCLES
Motorcycles are central to Tyger Claws street culture. High-performance bikes are tuned for rapid movement through dense urban traffic, pursuit, intimidation, racing, and fast-response gang activity.
STREET CARS
Tuned Japanese imports, performance coupes, modified sedans, cargo vehicles, and customized street racers support both the gang's image and its practical transportation requirements.
WEAPONS
Katanas, knives, smart weapons, pistols, compact automatics, cyberware-enhanced reflexes, and close-range aggression are characteristic. Individual Claws may favor ritualized blade culture, modern firearms, or a mixture of both.
HISTORY
2020s
The gang traces its origins to the earlier Tyger's Claw, emerging from Night City's Japanese and Asian communities during the early decades of the century.
TIME OF THE RED
Following the Fourth Corporate War and the destruction that reshaped Night City, the Tyger Claws became increasingly important in the reconstruction, protection, and criminal economy surrounding Japantown.
EXPANSION
As Night City rebuilt, neighborhood protection evolved into organized racketeering, business ownership, vice, smuggling, corporate relationships, and systematic control over nightlife and entertainment.
THE MOX
The Claws' violent relationship with the workers and management surrounding Lizzie's Bar eventually helped create one of their most persistent local enemies: The Mox.
2077
By 2077, the Tyger Claws have become a mature urban syndicate with thousands of members and associates, entrenched businesses, hardened territory, corporate connections, and sufficient power to shape entire neighborhoods.
