Policy

Welcome to Night City MUSH. Before you jack in, read the rules. Ignorance is not an excuse. Staff reserves the right to enforce these rules at their discretion.

General Conduct

1. 18+ Only — All characters and character art is 18+. No exceptions.
2. Don't Be A Dick — Don't be a dick choom. In fact if the opportunity presents itself you should be a dude.
3. Harassment — Harassment is bad, m'kay?
4. OOC Honesty — Lying to other players (including admins) OOCly about IC events is not acceptable. This especially applies to situations where your OOC words can have an IC effect. Lying about intentions within a scene can also result in major problems due to consent issues.
5. Alts and Secrets — Do not OOCly out someone's alts, IC secrets or in any other way betray another player's trust or damage their story. This applies to staff plots and staff files as well.
6. Spoofing — Spoofing of other players (i.e. using @emit to cause poses, messages, OOC comments, bbposts, channel chat, etc. to be displayed as if they had typed them) is not allowed.

Logs

1. Log Integrity — We rely on your logs as a means to verify things that happened. Please don't falsify them.

See the section below on logs for more information on how to submit and format them correctly.

Code and Exploits

1. Exploit Reporting — In the unlikely event that you find a way to hack around the code and cheat, DO report it to staff. DON'T use it to cheat.
2. Items and Objects — Please don't randomly pick up objects that don't belong to you. This is not a MUD, and items lying around are not free gifts from the game to pick up as your own. Instead, please notify a staff member.

Private Areas

1. No Trespassing — Do not enter private areas of the grid without either the approval of an admin or the permission of the player who owns the private area, even if those areas are unlocked via code.
2. What Counts as Private — Private areas include apartments or any other area that is clearly set up as not intended for general public access.
3. Accidental Entry — If you inadvertently enter a private area, leave immediately.

Staff and Admin

1. Admins Are Human — The Admins are not always right. We are human beings and fallible. If you believe something is wrong, whether with a plot, a queue request, or whatever, then please feel free to let us know.
2. Arguing With Staff — Continuing to argue a point with a given admin once they have said they are no longer willing to debate the point is not allowed.
3. Escalation — If you still feel there are grounds for a complaint, contact Mnemosyne.

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, temp bans or permanent removal from the game.
When in doubt, ask staff. We don't bite. Much.
