Appearance

Short, curvy, pretty, and richly attired... or so she looks at first glance. Then you'll see all the flaws, the flimsiness of mass produced clothing, the hints of roots under her platinum blonde hair, the world weary look in her eyes, the excess weight. She's still pretty, but not worth walking into traffic for. You didn't, did you? ...oh well, she can fix that.

Her voice is moderately high, but with an earthiness to it. She speaks as if someone trained her to pace her words, and in a rich Italian accent she moderates just enough to not have to repeat everything she says. Peppered into her speech are plenty of words in Italian that are probably uncomplimentary!

Distinguishing Features

• Cyber Eyes with adjustable contacts. They're usually an almost indigo blue.
• Chip Jack in the back of her neck. It's sometimes hidden by her long blonde (if she's dyed it recently) hair, or a shiny necklace.
• Surprisingly short, even in her scuffed Louboutin heels
• Plump and voluptuous. Some of those curves might not be entirely natural.

Mannerisms and Habits

Gesticulates with the enthusiasm of someone who knows they can fix it if they take your eye out. Or an Italian. Warm and motherly when she's getting her way, though there is a hint of performance to everything she does. At least her bedside manner is pleasant!

Background

Contessa Lilliana Orsini was to have it all, once upon a time. Heir to one of the still extant branches of the ancient and venerable Orsini family, hers was a childhood filled with privilege and prestige. Not much love though. The finest schools were in Switzerland, England and Germany, with challenging and arduous curricula. But the family made sure to spend a half day together for Christmas, so that was nice. It was all to prepare her to take over the Orsini Corp, the ancient family's modern face. Because what says family like board meetings?

The issues started while Liliana was in Oxford, an abrupt all hands meeting of the upper echelons of the house, which unfortunately excluded those out of the country at the time. A partnership was suggested. Words like stagnation, bygone, nepotism were thrown about. So too were security, legacy, and one particularly withered old fellow rambled on about blockchain too, but that was overlooked.

The consequence was House Orsini would lend its immense wealth and good (well, historic at least) name to Omniscient Reality, an upcoming name in surveillance tech, who in return would help the family modernise. No more costly and outdated trust funds, no more hangers on and parasites thinking mere possession of the Orsini surname meant they could share in its fortunes. The dissolution of these funds made several members of the board billionaires, at the minor cost of pruning a few unimportant members of the house.

So that's how Lilianna discovered her life was destined to be exciting!

It turns out if you freefall from a high enough height, you end up in Night City. Couch surfing when your home is sold out from under you builds character, while nothing helps develop people skills like dancing to pay your unexpected tuition fees. And when that money disappears mid-transaction, it's good to remember some people have it worse. And those people probably need experimental drugs shipped internationally from the finest laboratories in Oxford.

It had taken the ousted Contessa at least a year to work out she was now as disposable as anybody without a title to their name, when a close call with authorities reminded her that if her lawyer hadn't picked up her calls when she was evicted, they certainly wouldn't if she was arrested. But there was freedom in Night City she couldn't enjoy back home. People didn't know how important she was. How smart she was. How indispensable in all things she was. If she stayed here, someone else could take the risks. Lilianna could move from survival to far more important goals, like revenge. If her father... alright, her second cousin, twice removed... she wasn't actually that significant in the succession, were to cast her out of the family like some worthless third cousin, twice removed, he would pay in blood.

With an education in medicine from some very prestigious universities, it was not hard to make money, there was always someone needing something stuck in or taken out. And if while she had them on the table, the good 'doctor' opted to add in a little extra to help her with her own goals, well, lawyers weren't such a big deal anymore to her.

House Orsini would rise again, with Lilianna at its head, and only the most loyal would be graced with her favor. But she had quite a bit of work to do before she got there.
